Company History:

For over twenty years, Fiberand has been supplying fiber to road contractors across the United States and around the world.

In 1988, Fiberand introduced the use of mineral fibers in asphalt mixes to the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA). The FHWA subsequently initiated a European Asphalt Study Tour. Based on this tour and with the help of the various state departments of transportation, the FHWA implemented specifications for stone matrix asphalt (SMA), including the specification of mineral fibers. Albert Elias (pictured above) and Wilhelm Hartung (former principal of Fiberand with Mr. Elias and owner of Laxa Bruk in Sweden), were instrumental in formulating the mineral fiber specifications.

Today, we sell cellulose, mineral and poly fibers for use in asphalt mixes. Whatever your preference, we have you covered.
